At Pathways to Services Development, we're thrilled about the progress we've made so far in building a foundation for meaningful change in our community. As many of you know, we filed our application for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status at the beginning of September. Since we are using the long-form application, we understand that approval typically takes several months, with an expected timeline stretching to April or May 2025.
While we wait for this crucial step to be finalized, we want you to know that we are not standing still. Our team is diligently working on creating a comprehensive roadmap to ensure that once our status is approved, we are ready to hit the ground running.
Here’s what we’re focusing on during this interim period:
1. Strategic Planning: We're refining our programs, such as Sober Living Environments (SLE), the youth and family tiny home community, and peer support services. Every detail—from intake forms to training materials—is being prepared to ensure seamless implementation.
2. Building Partnerships: We’re reaching out to community leaders, businesses, and other nonprofits to establish partnerships that will help us maximize our impact from day one.
3. Program Development: Our teams are hard at work finalizing curriculums for emotional resilience, life skills, and recovery programs that align with Medi-Cal Peer Support standards and trauma-informed care principles.
4. Securing Resources: From identifying funding sources to assembling a strong team, we’re laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and success.
While this waiting period can feel long, we see it as an opportunity to ensure that when our 501(c)(3) approval comes, we’ll be fully prepared to serve the community with excellence and intention.
